About The Position

At Travelers, our Enterprise Operations teams strive to deliver differentiating customer and agent experiences, help drive top-line revenue and underwriting results, and foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and efficiency across the Enterprise. As an Operations Manager, you will use your leadership skills and/or experience to lead a team of Operations professionals, coaching and mentoring to build a highly effective team and drive business results, executing the business strategy. The team may be comprised of virtual, hybrid, and/or onsite employees. Familiarity with mail, imaging and workflow management is preferred. Most of the team is in the office 5 days.

  • One year of experience managing people or projects.
  • Two years of insurance, operations, or related experience.

  • Strong knowledge of Property and Casualty products and services.
  • Aptitude to lead and inspire team members to achieve optimal results in a highly collaborative and matrixed organization.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly convey information to various audiences.
  • Strong relationship building skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with internal and/or external partners.
  • FOR EBRM ROLES: Strong financial acumen as it relates to billing and receivable management with the ability to make financial decisions that balance customer needs and company financial expectations.
  • Familiarity with mail, imaging and workflow management is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor business operations to ensure compliance with SOX/regulatory requirements.
  • Reinforce and execute business strategy to achieve business objectives.
  • Identify and share opportunities to improve business processes and workflows; support new approaches, methods, and technologies to drive innovation aligned with the business strategy.
  • Own and model the behaviors to accept change; influence others and strategically execute implementation of change management efforts.
  • May lead or support projects and initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
