Requirements

• High School Diploma required
• 2 years’ office experience in business environment.
• Must have a valid driver’s license to operate a company vehicle.
• Must be able to reach, handle, carry and/or lift between 10lbs and up to 50lbs.
• Must have skill and proficiency using a computer.
• Must be able to independently take initiative-taking steps towards problem resolution and able to pay attention to details to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
• Ability to work under pressure and have excellent communication skills with all departments and vendors.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of claims and underwriting documents, experience with Onbase & AS 400 would be helpful
• Knowledge of Postal Equipment, Postage Rates as well as UPS World Ship Software would be helpful.
• Computer Skills: Data Entry, Microsoft Outlook, Excel Knowledge would be helpful.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for daily mail pick up at the local USPS.
• Responsible for sorting mail by Departments then by document types such as Return Mail Documents, Payments, Claims Documents, Underwriting Documents, and all other departments.
• Responsible for Importing all Claims Electronic Communications into Onbase. These are CDs or USB drives received from Medical Providers, Attorneys etc. in relation to the claim.
• Responsible for verifying the information on document matches information on the AS400 and/or the Claims Overlay system to index accurately. If the document is not verified correctly it could result in the document being forwarded to the wrong policy or claim.
• Responsible for processing any outgoing mail via UPS using UPS WorldShip Software.is entered processed This includes weighing, measuring, and determining which class of service to use
• Responsible for entering all return mail in the AS400 or Claims Overlay verifying Policy or Claim number and name before entering.
• Responsible for sorting Return Mail by the Endorsement reason on the mail piece as well as counting all return mail for the Daily Mail Log.
• Responsible for Scanning /Indexing all cancellations, bad address and forwarding address to Underwriting that were returned so a notification can be sent out by the Processing Unit
• Responsible for understanding scanner equipment due to having to select scanner parameters as identified for each job to ensure accurate handling of the document per department.
• Responsible for receiving Federal Express and UPS documents to be processed or delivered.
