O&G Industries, Inc., an innovative and diversified construction company based out of Torrington, CT, is seeking a Document Control Specialist to join our team at our Meriden project site. We are a highly respected leader in our field and ranked as one of the top construction firms in the Northeast. The primary responsibility of this position is data-entry, and to coordinate and submit project documentation on time.

Requirements

  • 4+ general administration experience; construction administrative support preferred
  • High School or GED degree
  • High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated time management and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated decision making/problem solving skills
  • Self-starter with good verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, process, log, and file incoming and outgoing project documents such as RFIs (Request for Information), submittals, drawings, meeting minutes, transmittals, field memos, notices, letters and punch lists
  • Deliver accurate and timely document control reporting to project leadership
  • Ensure all practices and procedures meet the project documentation retention requirements and perform periodic audits to ensure ongoing compliance
  • Assist with onboarding of union craft
  • Assist with time coding
  • Provide general administrative support to the project team
