About The Position

The Remote Document Control Specialist is responsible for managing, organizing, and maintaining company documents to ensure accuracy, compliance, and accessibility. This role plays a critical part in document tracking, version control, and regulatory compliance, supporting efficient business operations in a remote environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • 2+ years of experience in document control, records management, or administrative support
  • Proficiency in: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint)
  • Document management systems (DMS)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Understanding of document control processes and best practices
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Manage the creation, review, storage, and distribution of documents
  • Maintain document control systems and ensure proper version control
  • Track document revisions, approvals, and updates
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations
  • Organize and archive digital files for easy retrieval
  • Perform regular audits of documents for accuracy and completeness
  • Collaborate with departments to collect and update documentation
  • Control access to sensitive or confidential documents
  • Prepare reports on document status and compliance metrics
