About The Position

Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Temporary part-time Document Control Clerk to join their dynamic Quality Assurance team. The Quality Assurance team is responsible for supporting Canadian Blood Services by ensuring the quality and integrity of all documentation. In this role, you will provide clerical support to the Quality Assurance unit in accordance with all regulatory requirements and Canadian Blood Services policies, procedures and practices.

Requirements

  • At least one year of office or administrative experience, preferably in a regulated environment.
  • Experience working with documentation and filing systems in quality-focused settings is an asset.
  • Strong computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to follow procedures precisely and maintain high attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Excellent customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Post-secondary education is preferred, ideally in a related field.
  • SAP experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that current, approved documents, forms, and labels are always available for department use.
  • Accurately input information such as Quality Control data and non-conformance reports.
  • Help create and maintain filing and tracking systems for key documentation and controlled materials.
  • Inspect incoming forms and supplies, ensuring all applicable records are properly documented and retained.
  • Assist in training new team members on the QA Clerk role and its responsibilities.
  • Perform additional duties as required, contributing to the smooth operation of the unit.
