About The Position

GDIT is looking for a Document Control Administrator I. This candidate will be responsible for receiving, verifying, and preparing incoming documents for scanning. They will also be responsible for the imaging and QA analysis of each file/document. The role includes receiving and processing requests for microfilm documents, including the request to digitize microfilm. The candidate will track activity, create/modify reports, and distribute required updates and/or changes as per established SOPs. They will process and fill requests for both internal and external customers, create and update standard operating procedures for the QA process, and maintain files and other related records. Additional duties include performing other administrative tasks as needed, monitoring email communications, and participating in special projects. The role also requires maintaining current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1-3 years of related Administrative / Record Management experience.
  • Knowledge and ability to use MS Office and other software applications as well as related office equipment.
  • Ability to demonstrate the ability to use written and verbal communication skills in an effective manner with various levels of management.
  • Must be able to report to the office (DC) 5 days a week.
  • US Citizenship required.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-3 years Service Now experience (plus).
  • 1-3 years Next-Star Scanning or experience with digitization of microfilm (plus).
  • Electronic Records Management (ERM) skills.
  • File Maintenance skills.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, verify, and prepare incoming documents for scanning.
