Requirements

Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program
Active Michigan Physical Therapist license
Successful completion of the NPTE
Strong understanding of rehabilitation techniques and evidence-based care
Excellent communication and critical-thinking skills
Ability to adapt care plans based on patient progress and goals
Physical ability to assist patients and safely perform mobility support tasks

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations
Review medical history, diagnostic findings, and functional limitations
Develop customized treatment plans based on patient goals and clinical needs
Deliver evidence-based therapy interventions, including: Therapeutic exercises, Manual therapy techniques, Mobility and gait training, Ultrasound and electrical stimulation
Track patient progress and modify treatment plans to maximize outcomes
Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and recovery strategies
Provide guidance on injury prevention and long-term wellness
Encourage and motivate patients throughout the rehabilitation process
Partner with physicians, nurses, PTAs, and interdisciplinary care teams
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
Support a collaborative and patient-focused care environment
