About The Position

TForce Freight is seeking a part-time Dockworker to help ensure freight is loaded safely and efficiently so customers’ shipments arrive on time and in the condition received. The position is part of a safety-focused team and involves operating powered warehouse equipment, including forklifts, cherry pickers, hydraulic jacks, and extended belts. Tractors are used to maneuver vehicles safely and efficiently, including in tight spaces. The posting lists a starting rate of $24.00 per hour. TForce Freight is a North American less-than-truckload freight carrier and a subsidiary of TFI International, providing regional, interregional, long-haul, and cross-border transportation and logistics services.

Requirements

No CDL is required.
Provide excellent customer service and have a customer-focused, team-oriented work ethic.
Perform essential job functions safely without obvious risk of injury to oneself or coworkers.
Be able to read, write, and speak English.
Be a U.S. citizen or otherwise authorized to work in the U.S.
Have strong organizational and time-management skills.
Hold forklift operator certification.
Be safety-focused.
Be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

Operate yard trucks to manage dock needs and maintain a safe, clean environment.
Print bills of lading for daily deliveries.
Process and palletize damaged penny and RTV merchandise.
Follow safety protocols to maintain a secure workplace.
Help maintain and care for dock equipment.
Unload cargo using cranes or forklifts.
Secure shipments upon arrival.
