About The Position

South Bay Marina, a division of McDonald Companies in Green Bay, WI, is seeking a customer-focused Dockhand for the summer season (13 weeks, May – September). The marina offers services including a 240+ slip marina, a year-round marine equipment service center, and a retail space. The Dockhand will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and maintaining the marina grounds and facilities.

Requirements

Must be 16 years or older or have the ability to provide a working permit.
Must obtain a valid driver’s license.
Open availability during nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to perform trained job duties without excessive supervision.
Ability to perform job duties requiring extended periods of standing, bending, stooping, pulling, pushing, and lifting up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service in a professional and approachable manner.
Perform cleaning and janitorial duties for facilities around the Marina grounds.
Assist slip-holders with securing boats to the dock and connecting/monitoring utility devices.
Perform general grounds-keeping tasks such as power washing, weed pulling, and garbage can hauling.
Manage the slip-holder’s lounge, ensuring all amenities are maintained to a high standard.
Follow established rental boat procedures to comply with legal and safety standards.
Manage and control fueling of vessels at the on-site fuel dock.
Utilize marine-data software for cash or credit transactions.
Maintain a safety-first mindset throughout all duties.
Answer phones and customer questions as needed.
Provide assistance to any customers as requested.
Coordinate daily tasks with internal individuals as required.
