About The Position

Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland & East Central Ohio is hiring a Dock Worker in Cleveland, Ohio. The role helps keep the warehouse and dock operating by placing donations in the correct warehouse areas and sorting them by season, subcategory, or equipment type. The Dock Worker fills donation orders for stores, loads trucks, assists with dock operations, and helps with the baling operation. The position pays $15.00 per hour and is full-time.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

• Tow motor experience preferred.
• Ability to judge the distance, speed, and movement of objects.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help truck drivers transport and handle materials, merchandise, and equipment.
• Load and unload trailers by hand and sort materials according to prescribed procedures.
• Arrange items into compact, secure loads to prevent breakage.
• Ensure outgoing ADCs, stores, and support departments are properly equipped.
• Exchange propane tanks as needed.
• Track, count, and enter warehouse inventory daily.
• Handle donations carefully and take them to the appropriate warehouse area.
• Place trash in the appropriate dumpster or compactor.
• Keep the dock and warehouse safe, wear required personal protective equipment, and follow safety and security policies.
• End every donor interaction with: “You changed a life today, thank you!”
