About The Position

The Dock Worker plays a crucial role in the logistics and supply chain process, ensuring that parts are efficiently loaded and unloaded from trucks and delivery vehicles. This position is responsible for maintaining the flow of parts in and out of the warehouse, which directly impacts the company's ability to meet customer demands. The Dock Worker will work closely with team members to ensure that all shipments are accurately processed, safely packaged to prevent damage, and that inventory levels are maintained. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks.
• Basic understanding of shipping and receiving processes.
• Physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail is critical, as the Dock Worker must accurately inspect shipments and maintain inventory records.
• Communication skills are also important, as the worker will need to collaborate with team members and report any issues that arise.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a shipping or warehouse environment.
• Forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment.
• Knowledge of inventory management systems.
• Forklift operation, enhances the worker's ability to move heavy items safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload parts from trucks and delivery vehicles, sometimes utilizing forklifts and other equipment.
• Packaging parts with appropriate materials or in appropriate format on trucks to prevent damage.
• Inspect parts/loads for accuracy and damage, reporting any discrepancies.
• Organize and maintain the shipping dock area to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
• Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure timely processing of orders and inventory management.
• Adhere to safety regulations and company policies while performing all tasks.
