This role involves the loading and unloading of freight using various equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, or by hand. Responsibilities include securing freight to prevent damage or shifting, accurately recording the condition of freight upon arrival, and performing inspections of dock equipment. Regular attendance is required, and employees must be able to perform any and all other duties as assigned, operating under tight time constraints in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities. The job requires the ability to work independently or in a team setting and to interact well with others. Employees must be able to read, interpret, and comply with written information and documents with a high level of comprehension and concentration to meet deadlines. A pre-employment drug screen, random drug/alcohol tests, and a criminal history background check are required. Authorization to work in the United States is necessary.
