About The Position
The Dock Worker Trailer Spotter plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe movement of trailers within a manufacturing facility's loading dock area. Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing industry setting.
- Ability to follow safety protocols and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Familiarity with ensuring accuracy while loading material.
- Manual lifting up to 45 lbs
- Wood bracing to secure loads, preventing damage during transit and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Nice To Haves
- Valid forklift operator certification or equivalent preferred
- Proven experience in loading trucks and trailer spotting within a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Basic knowledge of wood bracing techniques for securing cargo.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and mitigate workplace hazards proactively.
Responsibilities
- Direct and position incoming and outgoing trailers safely and efficiently at designated dock doors.
- Assist in loading trucks by coordinating with forklift operators and warehouse staff.
- Maintain clear communication with team members to ensure smooth trailer movements.
