About The Position

This role is for a busy warehouse that is divided into Dry, Cooler, and Frozen areas, with potential rotation between them. Loaders play an essential role in the warehouse to transportation process in ensuring customer satisfaction. The primary goal is to quickly, correctly, and securely load pallets and boxes into trailers so that when the route driver unloads at various stops there is no need to dig for products. Requires strong attention to detail to ensure all items are loaded and in the correct order.

Requirements

Ability to regularly lift up to 65lbs
High school or equivalent

Nice To Haves

Trailer loading/unloading experience preferred
Pallet jack experience preferred
Warehouse experience helpful

Responsibilities

Receiving and reviewing load sheets to determine what needs to go on the truck.
Arranging pallets and boxes picked by days in order of routes to effectively add in the correct spot with the night orders.
Using a pallet map of the trailer to load products onto the trailer.
Loading products in reverse order of stops so that the pallet for delivery #1 is by the back doors for easy access for the driver.
Correctly placing pallets and boxes from the day shift pickers next to or on top of the pallets for the same stops from the night shift.
Ensuring all boxes and pallets for that truck are loaded.
Watching for correct placement of products in relation to the bulkhead which separates frozen from cold, from dry products.
Securing the load to ensure that the products are stable and will not shift or roll around the trailer during transport, including using security load locks.
Performing final load checks.
Scanning temperature tubes and ensuring they are at the correct temperature for products.
Taking a picture of the load.
Notifying the shag driver that the load is complete.
