About The Position

This part-time position loads and unloads freight in a productive, safe, and claims-free manner. Dock Workers do not work inside a warehouse and must maximize space when loading freight. The role includes inspecting dock equipment, documenting freight control processes, and following operational procedures. A Tuesday–Saturday shift from 5:00 AM to 10:00 AM is listed, with flexible schedules available. Pay begins at $23.95 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have basic math skills.
• Be fluent in English.
• Be able to pass a drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight in a productive, safe, and claims-free manner.
• Maximize space when loading freight.
• Complete pre- and post-trip inspections on all dock equipment.
• Properly document all freight control processes.
• Participate in Dayton Freight’s training and improvement programs.
• Be available for irregular work schedules, alternating work shifts, and/or assignments.
• Follow the operational procedures and guidelines in the Dayton Freight Driver/Dockworker Manual.
