About The Position

The Dock Security Checkpoint Lieutenant supervises small groups of guards or takes positions with greater responsibility at Kwajalein. The role handles personnel and visitors arriving on or departing from Kwajalein Island by marine vessel, supervises Local National Access Control Officers, and coordinates with Local National Customs Officers. The Lieutenant may also coordinate Foreign National escorts and assist with access control procedures during special events. The position ensures assigned guard posts are staffed and that guard personnel follow post and general orders.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must have an active U.S. Secret Clearance.
• Minimum 3 years of security management experience in supervisory and/or management roles.

Nice To Haves

• ASIS CPP certification.

Responsibilities

• Handle personnel and visitors arriving to or departing from Kwajalein Island by marine vessels.
• Supervise small groups of guards.
• Supervise small groups of Local National Access Control Officers.
• Liaise with Local National Customs Officers.
• Coordinate and assist with Foreign National escorts when required.
• Become familiar with Host Nation customs and courtesies.
• Assist with access control procedures during special events.
• Ensure all assigned guard posts are staffed and monitor the performance of assigned guard force personnel.
• Ensure guard personnel are aware of and abide by all post and general orders.
