About The Position

The Erb Group is one of North America’s largest privately-owned refrigerated transportation providers, specializing in the timely, protected distribution of temperature-controlled perishable goods across Canada and the U.S. This family-owned business has been in the industry for over 65 years. The role of Dock Loader/Driver Helper is to assist straight truck drivers with the loading and unloading of freight for dedicated delivery schedules. This will involve hand-bombing and stocking customer locations.

Requirements

• Must be able to read and write English.
• Will be required to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Team player, willing to work with others.

Nice To Haves

• Forklift and Walkie certification will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Secure load and manual material equipment (dollies, pallet jacks, carts).
• Sort documentation.
• Place any ramps, stairs, or rollers in a safe manner and return back in storage/travel area upon completion of delivery.
• Count and load freight accurately and safely.
• Assist with the loading and unloading of electric jiggers.
• Move product into customer locations and place accordingly into cooler or freezer.
• Maintain a clean and tidy trailer throughout the day.
• Learn the Erb Solomon program and other computer functions.
• All other duties as assigned.
