About The Position

The Dock Coordinator is responsible for the daily organization of inbound and outbound warehouse operations. This role involves assigning picking tasks, evaluating and sequencing cross-dock shipments, overseeing dock safety, coordinating trailers, staging pallets, verifying shipments, performing warehouse walks, sequencing loads, analyzing stock reports, and ensuring accurate product loading onto delivery trucks.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Minimum of one year of work experience.
Prior experience in warehouse or distribution operations required.
Proficient computer skills, including SAP, Excel, and Word.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Strong communication skills, analytical thought process and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

Assigns picking tasks to available resources in the warehouse by coordinating and documenting inbound and outbound activities for daily warehouse operations.
Evaluates and sequences cross dock shipments in SAP and validates these cross-dock shipments for accuracy and compliance before shipping/receiving.
Oversees the safety of the dock area and inspects the condition of trailers and tractors. Maintains cleanliness of shared work areas.
Coordinates trailers to the docks utilizing yard check and communicates with the switcher/hiker and assigns inbound and outbound activities.
Coordinates staging of built pallets.
Verifies ASN pallets for accuracy.
Perform the OOS warehouse walks, maintain the OOS table in POD and communicate to the floor.
Sequences loads to the teams and/or employees in POD.
Views/Analyze warehouse stock reports (DSI reports) and the layer opportunity report.
Accountable for all product, including CO2 tanks, loaded onto each truck before it leaves for delivery to the customer.
