About The Position

Crown Equipment Corporation, a global leader in lift truck manufacturing, is seeking a Dock and Door Service Technician. This role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, servicing, repairing, and installing dock and door equipment. The technician will also perform planned maintenance, welding, manage a service van and its inventory, and process job completion paperwork. Crown offers extensive support through its global network of manufacturing facilities and retail locations.

Requirements

• Less than 2 years related experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to safely operate lift trucks.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States. Crown will not provide sponsorship for this position.
• Individuals with temporary visas or who need sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future, are not eligible for hire.

Nice To Haves

• Technical school graduate preferred.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Welding experience.
• Good written and verbal communication and customer care skills.
• Read and understand hydraulic and electrical schematics.
• Familiar with tools and equipment such as common hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, service, repair and install dock and door equipment.
• Perform all assigned planned maintenance on customer dock and door equipment.
• Welding.
• Maintain a service van and its inventory.
• Process paperwork after completion of each job.
