About The Position
Crown Equipment Corporation is seeking a customer-focused Dock and Door Service Tech to troubleshoot, diagnose, service, repair, and install dock and door equipment. The role also performs planned maintenance on customer equipment, welding, and service-van and inventory upkeep. Technicians complete paperwork after each job. The position includes 40 hours per week plus overtime and is primarily first shift. Crown provides award-winning service training, a company vehicle for field service technicians, tool insurance, uniforms, and specialty tools.
Requirements
- Less than 2 years of related experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record.
- Ability to safely operate lift trucks.
Nice To Haves
- Technical school graduate preferred.
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Welding experience.
- Good written and verbal communication and customer care skills.
- Ability to read and understand hydraulic and electrical schematics.
- Familiarity with common hand tools and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, service, repair, and install dock and door equipment.
- Perform assigned planned maintenance on customer dock and door equipment.

- Maintain a service van and its inventory.
