About The Position
Eastern Lift Truck Co. is seeking a Dock and Door Mechanic to support the Baltimore and surrounding areas. The position involves performing commercial and industrial maintenance and repairs on various overhead doors and dock leveling systems, including troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. The work may require using ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts, and adherence to safety protocols including wearing PPE and fall protection.
Requirements
- Experience installing, diagnosing, repairing, inspecting, and maintaining commercial overhead steel doors
- Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
- Individual must have their own tools
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Good driving record and active license

- Welding / fabricating experience a plus
Responsibilities
- Oversee and assist in repair of overhead door and dock leveling systems
- Research and resolve issues to customer satisfaction within policy while interacting effectively with persons of diverse backgrounds
- Performs commercial and industrial maintenance and repairs on a variety of overhead doors and dock leveling systems
- Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems pertaining to the operation of overhead doors and dock leveling systems
- Works from ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts. Wears PPE and fall protection
