About The Position
Eastern Lift Truck Co. is accepting applications for a Dock and Door Technician Apprentice to support our York, PA location. This entry-level position offers tremendous opportunity for growth, competitive compensation, and benefits. Apprentices will learn the mechanics of overhead doors and dock leveling systems through a formal training program with mentors. The program includes classroom modules and hands-on training to prepare individuals for a career as a Dock and Door Technician, focusing on safety standards and customer interaction.
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Clean driving record

- Comfortable with heights
Nice To Haves
- Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems (preferred, but not required)
- Welding / fabricating experience a plus
Responsibilities
- Assist lead technician in the installation and/or repair of overhead door and dock leveling systems
- Help to resolve issues to customer satisfaction within policy
- Learn troubleshooting and repairs on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems pertaining to the operation of overhead doors and dock leveling systems
- Work from ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts, wearing PPE and fall protection
- Use of technology (such as tablet & cellphone) for documenting work performed & communication with customers and internal office personnel
