About The Position
Eastern Lift Truck Co. is accepting applications for our Dock and Door Apprenticeship program in the Allentown, PA area. This entry-level position offers the opportunity to learn the mechanics of overhead doors and dock leveling systems. You will be guided by mentors through a formal training program, covering safety standards and customer interaction. The program includes classroom modules and hands-on training to prepare you for a career as a Dock and Door Technician.
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Clean driving record

Nice To Haves
- Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
- Welding / fabricating experience
Responsibilities
- Assist lead technician in the installation and/or repair of overhead door and dock leveling systems
- Help to resolve issues to customer satisfaction within policy
- Learn troubleshooting and repairs on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems pertaining to the operation of overhead doors and dock leveling systems
- Works from ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts
- Wears PPE and fall protection
- Use of technology (such as tablet & cellphone) for documenting work performed & communication with customers and internal office personnel
