About The Position

Controlled Combustion is seeking a qualified Pipefitter/Welder to join the best heating service company in the NYC area. We maintain one of the largest and most qualified licensed heating specialist staffs in the industry, with over 40 service personnel who are members of the Metal Trades Branch-Local 638-A.F.L-C.I.O. Our technicians receive rigorous in-house training and ongoing instruction from factory authorized experts and educational institutions. Our shop holds the National Board Repair "R" Certificate of Authorization and Symbol Stamp and "U" Certificate of Authorization and Symbol Stamp, and our technicians are certified ASME code welders. We maintain a Class "A" installers license in New York City and are licensed throughout the metropolitan area.

Requirements

• Five (5) years experience under a Licensed Master Plumber
• DOB Full Gas Work Card
• Knowledge of natural gas and fuel oil heating systems

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of utility (ConEd and National Grid) procedures
• Electrical experience
• Driver's License
• Installation / Repair of Gas Piping: 1 year (Preferred)
• Welding: 1 year (Preferred)

• Cutting, threading, and fitting black malleable steel piping
• Cutting, soldering, and braising copper piping
• Working with ProPress fittings
• Installation / Repair of Gas Piping
