About The Position

This position requires a high degree of adaptability and a focus on meeting customer needs by maintaining a high level of accountability and continuous improvement in the supported D-SCADA systems. The role involves assisting in standards development, product support, and implementation troubleshooting, requiring a strong ability to organize and coordinate customer needs.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications or related technical field or higher from an accredited college/university OR high school diploma and two (2) years related military or electric utility technical experience.
  • Two (2) years of experience with a high school diploma.
  • Individuals with an associate degree with no DMS/EMS/SCADA experience may be considered for entry into the organization at this level.

  • Two (2) years DMS/EMS/SCADA experience with associate’s degree OR Four (4) years of experience with a high school diploma.
  • Individuals with a bachelor’s degree with no DMS/EMS/SCADA experience may be considered for entry into the organization at this level.
  • Detailed knowledge in three other pertinent areas: Application development, Operating System support, Computer system administration, Database technologies and support.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Point-to-Point commissioning of Distribution Remote Terminal Units (DRTUs) in the D-SCADA system.
  • Troubleshoot database issues and provide support for System Operators and/or field personnel to maintain reliable operation of the D-SCADA system.
  • Complete assigned D-SCADA testing tasks with limited supervision, including accurately tracking testing results.
  • Provide support/guidance or assist in providing support to less qualified Analysts on problem resolution.
  • Train lower-level Analysts in specific equipment and software support activities when applicable.
  • Maintain reliable operations of the D-SCADA systems and improve or make recommendations to improve the quality and reliability of D-SCADA data and related services.
  • Identify issues with processes and tools, provide possible solutions, and offer input to more seasoned personnel.
  • Assist higher-level team members with overall D-SCADA compliance items.
