About The Position

A Division Manager - Business Process and Execution position is available at Garney. This role acts as a “Prime Mover,” partnering with Executive Team sponsors and functional leaders to maintain momentum, coordinate across departments, and ensure initiatives are delivered with measurable outcomes. This is a corporate-based role focused on execution and delivery rather than strategy formulation. Authority is implicit through ET sponsorship. Operations is a primary internal client for many initiatives, requiring close coordination to ensure adoption and effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in process improvement, project execution, or cross-functional initiative leadership, preferably within construction or operationally complex environments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strategic execution mindset with strong decision-making skills.
  • Experience implementing Lean Six Sigma or similar methodologies.
  • Proficiency with operational systems and data analysis tools.
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the execution lead for ET-sponsored initiatives on behalf of the designated ET sponsor.
  • Translate executive direction into workplans, manage timelines and execution cadence, coordinate cross-functional participation, identify risks and blockers, and escalate issues as needed.
  • Manage approximately 3–5 concurrent enterprise initiatives and ensure initiatives are completed, adopted, and formally closed.
  • Act as a liaison across Corporate Services and Operations, including IT, Finance, People & Culture, Safety, Marketing, and Operations, to ensure aligned execution and accountability.
  • Maintain momentum by leveraging ET sponsorship and disciplined follow-through.
  • Develop, implement, and refine targeted business processes required to support the successful execution of ET initiatives.
  • Apply structured problem-solving techniques, like Lean Six Sigma, appropriate to improve processes, remove friction, and align and coordinate actions.
  • Define, track, and report initiative-level KPIs in partnership with ET sponsors and functional leaders.
  • Provide clear visibility into progress, risks, and outcomes.
  • As initiative volume and complexity increase, recruit, develop, and lead a small execution support team.
