ROLE SUMMARY: If you’re interested in a leadership role and thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, the Manager, Business Process – Utilities opportunity at Metal Container Corporation (MCC) in our Arnold facility may be a great fit for you.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Engineering is preferred
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience; Experience in manufacturing preferred
  • 3+ years of managerial experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team orientation; technical, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent project planning, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge of budgeting and cost control
  • Knowledge of industrial equipment, controls, and preventative maintenance programs
  • Ability to extract, evaluate, and utilize data for process improvement from applicable systems
  • Demonstrated leadership and change management skill

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all plant support functions – including mechanical support systems (vacuum pumps, air compressors, air dryers, etc.), wastewater treatment, soluble oil systems, storeroom operations, tooling inventory and operations, and machine shop operations
  • Responsible for execution of energy efficiency initiatives and monitoring
  • Accountable for capital expenditure plan development, capital cash flow management, and contractor management
  • Utilize available resources to achieve KPI targets and close gaps in performance (root cause analysis, Gap Analysis, meeting schedules and action logs, 5 - Whys, PDCA and SDCA cycles, etc.)
  • Provide direction, coaching, performance management, skill assessment and training in direct reports (salaried and hourly)
  • Ensure that safety, quality and housekeeping standards are met
  • Create safe and engaging work environment
  • Availability to work holidays as needed for start-up/shut-down operations or maintenance
  • Ability to support a 24/7 operation with on-call or in plant support as needed
