About The Position

NFI Massachusetts, Inc., a nonprofit human service agency, is currently seeking a Division Director of our Acquired Brain Injury Programs to oversee up to four of our residential homes for adults. Programs are in Haverhill, Dracut, Chelmsford, and Methuen. This position requires on-call availability and will report to the Assistant Director of Operations and be a member of NFI’s senior management team. The senior management team is responsible for the development and implementation of new initiatives and ongoing operations of the agency. NFI Massachusetts provides services ranging from behavioral health and substance use treatment, long and short-term residential facilities for adults and youth, and an array of community-based services. Requirements

  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent plus five years of administrative experience.
  • Experience with non-profit organizations, fiscal management, and administrative functions including supervision of staff, hiring, terminations, staff development and evaluation.
  • Familiarity with the Department Of Developmental Services and current treatment philosophy and approaches
  • High energy level, superior interpersonal skills and ability to function in a team atmosphere
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Maintain required training compliance including MAP certification
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license.
  • Must possess excellent vision and hearing, and the ability to read and speak English.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all programmatic and administrative oversight of assigned programs.
  • Serves as a member of the agency’s senior management.
  • Develops vision and strategic plan for supervised programs.
  • Understands and monitors program budgets and utilization.
  • Leads, supervises and evaluates assigned Program Directors and other staff.
  • Assures quality of care within programs and implementation of best practices.
  • Maintains good communication and relationships with outside agencies including funders and licensers.
  • Oversee the referral, intake, and discharge process for programs.
  • Ensures licensing and accreditation of programs is maintained.
  • Acts as a liaison between agency and programs, and between agency and outside agencies.
  • Assists in proposal development and amendments.
  • Completes investigations and program reviews as requested.
  • Serves on and participates in agency and state policy bodies as assigned.
  • Available on call for consultation in emergencies or regarding imperative concerns.
  • Must be available for travel and after-hours response.
  • Serves as program director in emergent situations.
  • Performs all duties in accordance with the agency’s policies and procedures.
