UMass Memorial Medical Group seeks a Gynecologic Oncology leader to join their growing team. UMass Memorial Medical Center, the clinical partner of the UMass Chan Medical School, is seeking a board-certified gynecologic oncologist at the rank of associate professor or professor to head the division of Gynecology Oncology. This candidate should be an accomplished leader, manager, and administrator. They will be responsible for directing a division of four gynecologic oncologists and one nurse practitioner, participating in clinical practice, leading quality, education and research initiatives, developing faculty, and maintaining recruitment. UMass Memorial Medical Center is an 818-bed tertiary care center serving central and western Massachusetts. The University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School is nationally known for its research faculty and is highly ranked among medical schools for NIH funding. The department of Obstetrics and Gynecology has six robust subspecialty divisions and 24 resident physicians. Division members practice full-spectrum gynecologic oncology, including surgical and chemotherapy care, participate in medical student and resident education, and have opportunities for clinical research. The division of Gynecologic Oncology is a member of NRG Oncology and the Gynecologic Oncology Group Foundation/Partners. Clinical, translational, and basic science research is encouraged. Diversity, equity, and inclusion are integral to the commitment of our department. Accordingly, we seek qualified candidates who can contribute to racial equity, diversity, and inclusion through service, mentorship, teaching, and scholarship. The department is keenly interested in diversifying its faculty, and candidates from backgrounds under-represented in medicine are encouraged to apply.
