About The Position

The Division 10 Project Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of Division 10 specialty construction projects, including but not limited to toilet partitions, lockers, fire extinguishers and cabinets, visual display boards, and accessories. This role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and to customer specifications. The Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact for customers, subcontractors, and internal teams, ensuring effective communication and adherence to all federal, state, and local construction and labor laws. As a member of a family-owned cabinet and millwork company, this role also supports a value-driven, customer-focused culture.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or relevant field experience required
  • 3+ years of project management experience in commercial construction preferred.
  • Knowledge of Division 10 product categories, installation methods, and industry standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, project management software, and basic estimating tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of construction site safety practices and OSHA regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional education in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in a family-owned or small business environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of Division 10 projects from contract award through close-out.
  • Review architectural drawings and specifications to confirm scope and product requirements.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and material delivery timelines.
  • Coordinate with vendors, installers, and internal procurement teams to ensure timely and accurate material acquisition.
  • Communicate regularly with general contractors, subcontractors, and clients to ensure expectations are met.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and verify installation quality.
  • Prepare and submit submittations, shop drawings, RFIs, change orders, and closeout documentation.
  • Ensure all projects are completed in accordance with applicable building codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
  • Track and report project status, costs, and risks to leadership.
  • Foster strong client relationships and promote the family business’s commitment to quality and reliability.
