About The Position

Support Youth and Families Before Crisis Happens At Tides Family Services, we believe that every young person deserves a strong foundation to thrive in their home and community. As an “Agency Without Walls,” we deliver services wherever youth and families are—at home, in schools, or in the community. We’re seeking a dedicated Diversion Clinician to join our Believe in Making Results (BMR) program, a preventative initiative supporting youth ages 10–14 and their families. This role is perfect for clinicians who want to make a real difference early, helping families strengthen their skills, meet essential needs, and avoid out-of-home placements. Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field (required)
  • Independent clinical licensure preferred (LICSW, LMHC, LMFT)
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Experienced with at-risk youth and families
  • Skilled in family dynamics, youth development, and evidence-based therapeutic approaches
  • Collaborative, adaptable, and culturally competent

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor bachelor-level behavioral assistants in case management, therapeutic activities, and skill-building groups
  • Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and trauma screenings to inform individualized recovery plans
  • Provide direct clinical services, including individual, family, and group counseling
  • Oversee therapeutic recreation and skills-based programs to enhance protective factors and youth development
  • Coordinate with schools, community resources, and other providers to ensure holistic support
  • Facilitate access to critical resources such as housing, healthcare, and educational support
  • Provide crisis intervention and maintain client safety when needed
  • Track progress, maintain accurate documentation, and meet program productivity expectations
