District Support Pharmacist Part Time
About The Position
The District Support Pharmacist is a Staff Pharmacist who supports the Pharmacy Manager in leading and directing Pharmacy Technician Support Staff and is accountable for supporting the management, oversight, and operation of all aspects of the pharmacy. The role covers patient safety, pharmacy professional practice, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, customer service, personnel and inventory management, financial profitability, loss prevention, and workflow management. The pharmacist helps keep customers and patients healthy through the adoption and management of patient care programs. The role also includes developing and motivating pharmacy support staff, identifying business opportunities and implementing solutions to improve growth and performance, adapting to change in a community healthcare setting, collaborating to deliver better outcomes, and contributing to a caring, energetic, and supportive team culture.
Requirements
- Active pharmacy license in the state of employment.
- Not listed on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
- Immunization certification through an accredited organization, such as APhA.
- No pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances.

- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. degree.
Responsibilities
- Support the Pharmacy Manager in leading and directing Pharmacy Technician Support Staff.
- Support management, oversight, and operation of the pharmacy, including patient safety, professional practice, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, customer service, personnel management, inventory management, financial profitability, loss prevention, and workflow management.
- Adopt and manage patient care programs to help keep customers and patients healthy.
- Motivate, inspire, and develop Pharmacy Support Staff by assigning work to use colleagues' strengths and address development opportunities and knowledge gaps.
- Identify business opportunities and contribute to solutions that drive pharmacy growth and improve performance.
- Lead the team in implementing solutions and achieving specified goals.
- Adapt plans to change in a dynamic community healthcare setting.
- Collaborate with others to deliver better outcomes and align colleagues around the pharmacy's purpose.
