School Social Workers provide a continuum of programs, services and resources within the school setting to support the district educational goals and objectives to promote excellence and equity, every student, every classroom, every day. The School Social Worker will, in general: Develop and maintain ongoing social work support and/or educational or social-emotional skill groups with students. Consult with administrators, teachers, staff, and district office personnel on general and specific situations involving concerns about students. Respond to school referrals under the direction of administrators or their designees. Develop and maintain ongoing parent education groups; maintain a case load of “at-risk” students; conduct home visits/home studies. Serve as a school liaison for community services/resources available to students and their families.
