As a District Sales Manager, you will play a key role in presenting our customers with a consultative, relationship-focused approach -- one that will make their food service businesses thrive. This position will reside in: Springfield, IL.

Requirements

  • Four or more years of previous sales or business experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret data, including profitability models.
  • Ability to work evening and weekend hours.
  • Maintaining a valid, unrestricted state driver's license and a safe driving record.
  • If applicable, must participate in the company vehicle reimbursement program and maintain required insurance levels.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of high-performing, results-driven outside sales representatives.
  • Hire, develop, and retain staff, creating robust succession plans and developing the next generation of leaders.
  • Identify goals and objectives, provide regular and candid feedback through evaluations or coaching sessions.
  • Develop sales targets for individual sales representatives.
  • Understand areas of customer focus, including Sales Building, Staffing, Profitability, and Compliance.
  • Visit key existing and future customers.
  • Participate in food shows, regional customer events, customer segment shows, and customer trips to headquarters to maintain visibility with customers, segments, or associations.
