About The Position

The District Sales Manager’s (DSM) main priority is managing and leading a group of Sales Activators who are primarily accountable for driving pre-call sales in Large Format retailers. The DSM will also have a team of Sales Trainees who play a key role in supporting the Sales Activators. The DSM will also be responsible for the coaching and development of their respective teams. The DSM will be accountable for driving Sales volume and Red Bull initiatives and tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in Large Format retailers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or minimum of 3-5 years industry-related experience
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Direct Store Delivery (DSD) management
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding assigned sales objectives
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to prepare presentation materials and present the information one-on-one and in a group
  • Experience in understanding and utilizing Circana share data
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Excel
  • Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • DOT medical card

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred understanding of Spring data system and other IT systems
  • RBDC ASM, RBDC ASM II or RBDC DSM
  • Key Account management of Regional or local accounts

Responsibilities

  • Establish Sales/Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets for each assigned Sales Activator and appropriately manage the execution of these monthly KPI’s. This includes, but is not limited to, feedback/coaching, corrective counseling, and performance reviews.
  • Establish and maintain regular and on-going communications with retail partners/decision makers in order to successfully implement national/local programming.
  • Spend a minimum of 2 full day route rides (gate to gate) per week. The primary purpose of the route rides is to train, develop, and evaluate the performance of the Sales Activators and Sales Trainees and the executional conditions of his/her market.
  • Ensure Red Bull looks like the #1 Beverage in all accounts and is winning vs. competition
  • Teach and develop Sales Activators selling skills through the established selling process, this will include role plays, overcoming objections, and retail math skills as well as understanding the different buying personalities of decision makers.
  • Conduct huddles/workshops in groups and 1 on 1 to improve operational expertise and recognize/reward results.
  • Recruit top talent and participate in hiring process of direct report positions
  • Work collaboratively across the organization and share best practices. Act as a major contributor/leader among peer group.

  • Ensure the team understands and adheres to Company standards and operating procedures.
