About The Position

The District Sales Manager (DSM) is responsible for executing product group and enterprise-wide strategies within an assigned territory to maximize Nucor’s profitability through effective collaboration with sales, production, technical, and support teams. This role serves as a critical link between Nucor and its customers, ensuring exceptional customer service while driving sustainable business growth and market share. The DSM is expected to develop a deep understanding of market dynamics, customer needs, and competitor activities to support informed business decisions and profitable growth opportunities. Success in this position requires strong cross-functional collaboration with production, metallurgy, shipping, finance, and other internal departments to ensure customer commitments are met and business objectives are achieved. The DSM plays a vital role in aligning customer expectations with operational capabilities while advancing Nucor’s overall strategic goals. This position requires extensive weekly travel and frequent face-to-face interaction with customers throughout the assigned territory. A high level of professionalism, responsiveness, and customer focus is essential to effectively represent Nucor and strengthen long-term customer partnerships. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor. Therefore, all candidates must demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Requirements

  • Four-year Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Technical or related field
  • 3+ years of outside sales experience or successful completion of Nucor’s DDSM program
  • Required to live in the region/territory (Utah)
