Requirements

  • A demonstrated, infectious passion for mentoring and developing sales employees into top performers.
  • Ability to seamlessly transition between leading in the field alongside the team and working remotely to execute strategy.
  • Sharp, effective, and persuasive communication, analytical, and presentation skills.
  • 5+ years of successful experience leading, motivating, and growing a highly dynamic, aggressive outside/in-home sales team.
  • A verifiable history of consistently meeting and exceeding challenging sales objectives.
  • Understanding that top performance sometimes requires flexible hours to participate in high-impact evening and weekend events.
  • High energy, a strong work ethic, contagious enthusiasm, and the inherent ability to coach and mentor others.
  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.

Responsibilities

  • Building, leading, and inspiring a high-performing team of Design Consultants who excel at both converting company-provided quality appointments and becoming entrepreneurial rockstars by generating their own high-value leads.
  • Owning the district's budget and sales targets, focusing intensely on key levers like close rate, average order size, and successful service recovery.
  • Engaging in daily, high-impact interactions with DCs, using constructive dialogue and challenging questions to drive individual sales and marketing activity.
  • Leading weekly team meetings and calls that are high-octane training sessions focused on next-level sales techniques and product mastery.
  • Continuously educating the team on cutting-edge products, service innovations, and the hottest promotions.
  • Coaching and incentivizing DCs to become self-generating lead machines, unlocking massive additional earning potential through self-sourced appointments.
  • Utilizing Key Performance Metrics (KPMs)—like Revenue per Appointment, 'First Time Right,' and client satisfaction scores—to provide personalized coaching that boosts earnings and success rates.
  • Motivating and empowering the team to capture every sales opportunity through dynamic networking, creating strategic business partnerships, leveraging existing client relationships, and targeted community canvassing.
  • Identifying emerging client markets/hotspots and collaborating on developing creative, tailored strategies to dominate them.
  • Partnering with the marketing department to execute repeatable programs that maximize self-generated lead returns.
  • Continuously prospecting, recruiting, and retaining an aggressive, ambitious, and actively engaged team of Design Consultants.
  • Hitting sales hiring goals by partnering with the recruiting team while always keeping an eye out for the next DC superstar.
  • Building, fostering, and maintaining a vibrant culture defined by success, fierce recognition, continuous learning, and winning together.
  • Conducting meaningful performance and business reviews and taking decisive corrective action when required to ensure the team maintains peak performance.
