About The Position

Empire Distributors Inc, a leading beverage distributor, is seeking a District Manager in Denver, CO. This role offers competitive wages, potential for growth, and excellent benefits. The District Manager will be responsible for communicating and monitoring company objectives, coaching customer service philosophy, and maintaining market conditions through sales representatives. Key responsibilities include managing store resets, supervising daily activities of teammates, monitoring point-of-sale utilization, delivering sales presentations, meeting with key customers, and evaluating competitor activities. The role also involves maintaining high visibility in key accounts, interacting with suppliers, reporting on focus items, conducting market surveys, reviewing sales performance, ensuring compliance with laws, maintaining inter-departmental communication, improving training and product knowledge, and providing territory coverage when sales representatives are absent.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid Driver License
  • Automobile insurance - 100/300/50 minimum limits of liability
  • Knowledge of Crystal reports
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Great Plains Business Management software
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word Processing software

Responsibilities

  • Communicates and monitors Company objectives and expectations through staffing, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Understands and coaches the company philosophy of customer service.
  • Maintains and improves market conditions through Sales Representatives in the execution of sales programs and the building of brands.
  • Manages store resets and sets up new accounts.
  • Supervises the daily activities of all assigned teammates.
  • Monitors the utilization and effectiveness of point-of-sale in the market.
  • Delivers sales presentations to key customers in coordination with Sales Representatives.
  • Meets with key customers, assisting Sales Representatives with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.
  • Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition in relation to the Company’s presence in the market.
  • Maintains high visibility in key accounts and performs business reviews in these accounts on a regular basis.
  • Interacts with suppliers through work-withs, dinners and trade functions.
  • Reports on focus items on a monthly basis.
  • Conducts market surveys.
  • Reviews periodic sales performance to monitor gross profit and case sales.
  • Conducts business according to local and state laws.
  • Maintains open communication with other departments.
  • Continually improves training and product knowledge.
  • Provides coverage in territories with Sales Representatives are absent.
