About The Position

This role is responsible for leading claims operations and driving growth across Central Pennsylvania. The position is hybrid, involving work from home and a driving role. The District Manager provides direction and supervision to adjusters and other district support staff, recruits, hires, coaches, and evaluates performance. They set district objectives, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with ethical business practices and regulations. The role involves maintaining product quality, managing open case inventory, and ensuring timely closing and billing of files. Additionally, the District Manager is responsible for establishing market presence, identifying revenue opportunities, developing sales plans, and making sales calls to clients. They also uphold the corporate image by participating in industry organizations and recommending continuing professional education for district personnel.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of supervisory or leadership experience
  • 5+ years of insurance-related experience
  • Strong business development, team management, and operational leadership skills
  • Ability to build client relationships and drive revenue growth
  • College degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 8 years of experience delivering services and supervising the delivery of services offered by the district; previous management experience desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direction and supervision to adjusters and other district support staff.
  • Recruits, selects, orients, hires, coaches, counsels, disciplines and evaluates performance of district employees.
  • Assigns work ensuring balanced workload for employees in Service Center.
  • Sets district objectives, monitors and appraises employee performance.
  • Communicates and enforces ethical business practices and compliance with laws and regulations of jurisdiction.
  • Maintains product quality through compliance with service standards and client instructions in addition to handling escalations.
  • Monitors open case inventory and ensures proper and timely closing and billing of files.
  • Completes file re-inspections and audits as requested.
  • Establish and oversee clear objectives to all district staff with respect to open case inventory with proper and timely closing and billing of files.
  • Assigns work ensuring balanced workload for employees in district.
  • Establish and oversee clear objectives with respect to billed and unbilled inventory processes to meet business unit Days Sales Outstanding objectives.
  • Monitors accounts receivable to encourage positive cash flow and to minimize aged accounts receivable.
  • Monitors and improves efficiency of district operations.
  • Establish market presence and identify revenue opportunities.
  • Responsible for the development of a sales plan and coordinates local sales efforts with national and regional sales plans.
  • Makes sales calls on potential and existing clients.
  • Directs sales solicitation activities of others as required.
  • Upholds and projects the corporate image by participating in industry organizations and functions.
  • Evaluates and recommends continuing professional education of district personnel.
  • Maintains personnel records and approves salary adjustments.
  • Upholds the Crawford Code of Business Conduct at all times.
  • Participates in special projects or performs duties in other areas as requested.
