About The Position

The District Manager is accountable for the overall performance and profitability of Corporate Centers in their assigned region, driving both top- and bottom-line results in partnership with the Regional VP, Corporate Centers and the COO. This role ensures operational excellence and executional discipline through strategic leadership, data-driven decision-making, and accountability across multiple centers. The District Manager is responsible for maximizing staffing, optimizing scheduling, and local marketing efforts/effectiveness; maintaining brand and service standards; and ensuring centers deliver exceptional guest experiences that set the benchmark for the EWC network. As a key operational leader, the District Manager sets clear performance expectations, drives results, and develops high-performing leaders and teams to achieve business goals with consistency and excellence ensuring profitability across all locations. This is a field-based position supporting locations across Nebraska, Kansas and Missouri.

Requirements

Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a service or specialty store environment.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience managing multi- unit in service or specialty retail environment.
Proficient in Excel and Word
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
Excellent customer service and time management skills

Responsibilities

Drives results through an unwavering focus on guest satisfaction and brand standards, ensuring corporate centers exceed expectations by delivering an inviting, memorable guest experience measured through Center Controllable Traffic and SMG/Voice of the Guest.
Coaches Center Managers to resolve guest challenges effectively, ensuring each situation strengthens loyalty and reinforces the brand standard.
Drives the full in-suite guest experience by ensuring Waxers deliver consistent, high-quality services aligned with brand standards and protocols. Regularly reviews service quality, timing, and professionalism to ensure every guest interaction reflects EWC’s commitment to comfort, confidence, and care.
Holds managers accountable for ensuring associates are trained to establish trust and build guest confidence by becoming experts in package sales and products, to reach their goals and produce desired results including standard KPIs such as New Guest and Existing Guest Retention, Wax Pass Conversion, Retail Conversion, SPT, Package Credits, and Rebook.
Partners with the National Training Team and Corporate Center Leadership to identify Waxer performance gaps and ensures technical coaching and refresher training are completed to maintain mastery of waxing technique, leveling waxers up to the most efficient level while maintaining consistency across centers.
Leads a performance-based guest culture, recognizing and rewarding excellence in guest experience, service quality, and results.
Promotes continuous improvement by sharing best practices and success drivers across all centers.
Selects, develops, and leads high-performing Center Managers and teams, holding leaders accountable for delivering results and operational excellence.
Drives retention and talent growth by ensuring every manager meets the expectations of a top-tier corporate center through consistent coaching, feedback, and performance management.
Leads recruitment and talent selection strategy to attract and retain the best candidates (all roles), setting a standard for hiring excellence and bench strength to support business growth and succession planning.
Ensures all recruiting, hiring, and onboarding practices meet compliance and deliver a seamless associate experience.
Builds leadership capability through structured coaching, feedback, and development plans aligned to business priorities and results.
Leads and administers performance management and disciplinary action decisively, reinforcing accountability, fairness, and continuous development.
Champions EWC’s vision, values, and culture to drive engagement, teamwork, and results-focused collaboration.
Maintains a transparent, inclusive environment that promotes open communication and mutual trust.
Holds managers accountable for owning their center’s performance by conducting regular performance reviews, quarterly development sessions, and consistent coaching to ensure progress toward business goals.
Ensures managers are driving Waxer performance and engagement through regular 1:1 meetings, skill assessments, coaching, and career development focused on mastery, productivity, and retention ensuring that waxers are leveled up to the most efficient level.
Builds and sustains a strong Waxer pipeline by ensuring proactive staffing, completion of training milestones, and identifying future Leads or Trainers.
Drives accountability check-ins and goal setting, ensuring every associate is aligned with business objectives and performance standards.
Communicates expectations and business priorities clearly and consistently to ensure alignment and execution across all centers.
Owns financial performance across assigned corporate centers - managing and achieving district budgets, cost controls, and profitability goals including both top- and bottom-line targets.
Establishes clear performance objectives and holds Center Managers accountable for achieving Top Line Sales, EBITDA, YOY growth, and productivity metrics.
Analyzes financial and operational reports to identify trends, drive improvement plans, and ensure execution of SMART Action Plans with measurable outcomes.
In partnership with the Regional VP, Corporate Centers, manages business planning and goal setting to maximize associate performance, productivity, and profitability.
Recognizes strong performance and implements performance improvement plans where needed to close gaps and elevate results.
Creates a high-performance culture that rewards accountability, results, and continuous improvement while reducing turnover and inefficiencies.
Empowers managers and teams to build and grow their business through local marketing initiatives including business relationships, driving personal referrals, etc., to increase ticket count and remain consistent with all efforts to increase new and existing guest retention.
Conducts regular center visits, performance reviews, and monthly manager meetings to ensure progress, alignment, and consistent execution.
Maintains a consistent field presence by spending approximately 4 days each week in centers to coach, observe, and drive execution, with one administrative day generally reserved for business reviews, planning, and follow-up.
Ensures all locations operate in full compliance with EWC policies, procedures, and brand standards to maintain consistency and operational discipline.
Drives a growth mindset, focusing decision making on people and P&L impact.
Upholds all operational requirements outlined in the Center Operations User Guide.
Maximizes scheduling and productivity through proactive labor management and demand forecasting, ensuring capacity is aligned to sales goals.
Enforces loss prevention, safety, and compliance standards to protect people, assets, and reputation.
Ensures timely completion of all operational deliverables and reports with accuracy and accountability.
Holds Center Managers accountable for flawless execution of brand visuals and marketing guidelines.
Ensures centers maintain impeccable cleanliness, organization, and presentation – representing EWC’s brand promise at all times.
Conducts regular audits to verify compliance with brand and visual standards, ensuring each location reflects the quality and professionalism expected of a corporate center.
Reinforces accountability for maintaining all service, retail, and back-of-house areas to EWC standards of excellence
