About The Position

The Territory Manager will drive revenue growth across the Greater Tennessee territory by developing new customer relationships and expanding sales with existing accounts. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, this role focuses on food and beverage sales across multiple foodservice channels. The successful candidate will identify new business opportunities, build strong customer relationships, and collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet customer needs. This role requires a highly motivated sales professional with strong business acumen, relationship-building skills, and a passion for the food and beverage industry. This role is based in either Kansas or Missouri.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Food Science, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience, preferably within food ingredients, foodservice, beverage, or related industries.
  • Demonstrated success in developing new business and managing customer relationships.
  • Experience working across a defined geographic territory.
  • Ability to travel regularly throughout the Greater Kansas/Missouri region.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet company travel requirements.
  • Strong consultative selling and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to identify customer challenges and develop value-based solutions.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a territory growth strategy to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities across foodservice and related channels.
  • Manage and grow existing customer relationships through regular engagement and business reviews.
  • Deliver sales presentations and product recommendations that align with customer objectives.
  • Collaborate with R&D, marketing, customer care, and other internal stakeholders to develop customer-focused solutions.
  • Track market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline and provide accurate forecasting through CRM tools.
  • Negotiate pricing and commercial agreements in alignment with company objectives.
  • Travel throughout the assigned territory to support customer meetings, business development activities, and industry events.
