Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience, preferably overseeing multiple clinics, departments, or service lines.
  • Demonstrated success leading operational teams in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Experience managing multi-site operations, ambulatory care, primary care, or physician practices preferred.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare operations, staffing, financial performance, workflow optimization, and patient experience.
  • Experience implementing operational improvements and leading organizational change.
  • Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHRs), Microsoft Office Suite, and operational reporting tools.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, coaching, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA), Business Administration (MBA), or a related field.
  • Experience with Athenahealth or similar EHR platforms.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement experience.
  • Experience supporting organizational growth, acquisitions, or multi-site expansion.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple clinic locations and service lines.
  • Drive operational consistency, workflow optimization, and process improvement across assigned sites.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement action plans to improve quality, efficiency, patient satisfaction, and financial performance.
  • Ensure clinics operate in compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and operational standards.
  • Identify operational challenges and implement sustainable solutions that improve performance and patient care.
  • Recruit, mentor, coach, and develop high-performing Practice Managers, supervisors, and operational leaders.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and service excellence.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions, and leadership development activities.
  • Support succession planning and help build future operational leaders within the organization.
  • Promote employee engagement, retention, and professional growth.
  • Drive achievement of operational, financial, productivity, and growth goals across assigned locations.
  • Monitor budgets, staffing levels, labor utilization, scheduling efficiency, and clinic performance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve revenue, reduce operational costs, and maximize efficiency without compromising quality.
  • Support practice growth through provider onboarding, capacity planning, and operational expansion initiatives.
  • Champion an exceptional patient experience across all locations.
  • Resolve escalated patient concerns with professionalism, urgency, and compassion.
  • Monitor patient satisfaction metrics and implement improvements where needed.
  • Ensure every clinic consistently delivers outstanding service and patient-centered care.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA, CMS, and organizational policies.
  • Maintain readiness for regulatory surveys and operational audits.
  • Monitor documentation quality, safety standards, and operational compliance.
  • Address operational risks proactively before they impact patient care.
  • Lead implementation of new operational initiatives, technologies, and workflow improvements.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership and corporate departments on organizational projects.
  • Utilize Lean thinking and continuous improvement principles to eliminate waste and improve efficiency.
  • Use operational data and reporting to drive informed decision-making and measurable improvements.
  • Partner closely with physicians, providers, Practice Managers, Clinical Leadership, Human Resources, Revenue Cycle, Information Technology, Marketing, and other shared services.
  • Ensure strong communication and alignment across departments.
  • Serve as the operational leader responsible for the overall success of assigned clinics and markets.
