Requirements

• At least 7 years of retail management experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Ability to relocate as business dictates.
• Ability to travel from store to store on a daily basis (could stay 3-4 overnights per week based on business needs) and work to support the business needs in peak and holiday timeframes.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work independently without supervision.
• Must meet federal requirements to qualify to obtain a Federal Firearms License (FFL) and any applicable local requirements.
• Ability to access and use the in-store computer, handheld device, pallet jack, and other retail equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proven ability to effectively coach and mentor team members.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and delegate tasks.
• Behaviors must reflect integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

• 2+ years multi-store retail management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads a team of Store Managers in their district in building revenue by focusing on people, budget, in-stock, price, process, and the customer experience.
• Drives the overall financial performance of the district by analyzing financial reports and effectively communicating with the team to meet budget goals such as: sales, labor, shrink, and operating expense.
• Sets the expectation and drives the execution of people initiatives, in-stock, pricing, front end service, RK Visa and Rural King Purchase Protection Plan.
• Understands opportunities in the district and works through the Store Managers to overcome obstacles.
• Maximizes inventory management, cash controls and loss prevention effectiveness.
• Supports company growth by identifying and developing internal talent.
• Promotes opportunities to attract customers to become Rural King associates.
• Manages and supports customer service initiatives, empowers associates to take care of customers, and ensures customer concerns are resolved.
• Represents Rural King’s Mission and Values.
• Demonstrates effective and consistent communications and interpersonal skills.
• Establishes and preserves a professional work atmosphere and is a role model for the team.
• Measures outcomes to ensure desired results and holds the team accountable.
• Exemplifies the leadership behaviors taught in Rural King’s Thrive Leadership Program.
• Responsible for mitigating company risk, driving a culture of safety, and complying with all local, state, and federal laws.
