About The Position

Sodexo’s Campus Segment is seeking a passionate, client- and customer-driven District Manager 2 to support multiple campus dining accounts across Western New York. Serving as the primary Sodexo representative for a defined geographic area, this leader will drive operational excellence, financial performance, and strong client and customer relationships. The ideal candidate will reside in or near Buffalo, Rochester, or Syracuse, NY, and bring deep experience in multi-site leadership within food service or campus dining environments. As District Manager 2, you will lead and inspire a team of General Managers and frontline employees across several accounts, ensuring overall operational success, including financial performance, client satisfaction, and employee development. This role requires a strategic, influential leader who can build strong partnerships with clients and internal stakeholders while ensuring consistent delivery of Sodexo’s high standards. You will work closely with the Vice President and clients to maintain contract compliance, strengthen relationships, and drive long-term account retention.

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing multiple locations or accounts in food service, hospitality, or campus dining
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and driving profitability
  • Demonstrated success in client relationship management and contract retention
  • Leadership skills with the ability to develop high-performing, engaged teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to balance big-picture thinking and day-to-day operations
  • Flexibility to travel within the assigned geographic area
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 7 years minimum management experience
  • 7 years minimum functional experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in campus dining or large-scale food service operations preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop General Managers and their teams across multiple campus accounts
  • Drive financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction and retention
  • Collaborate with clients and senior leadership on contract execution and operational strategy
  • Develop and execute district-wide business plans aligned with organizational goals
  • Ensure consistency in food quality, service standards, and operational excellence
  • Oversee employee engagement, training, and succession planning
  • Identify opportunities for growth, innovation, and continuous improvement across accounts
