About The Position

The Manager Division HR supports the local retail division/supply chain in all aspects of Human Resources programs, practices and strategy. This includes oversight of programs related to Employee Relations, Recruiting, Staffing, Employment, Compensation and Benefits, Education, policy implementation and enforcement, legal compliance, and Record Retention. The Manager HR is a leader in change management and influence with senior division leaders to drive results and achieve strategic goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree, PHR or SPHR certification desired, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3+ years of generalist experience in Human Resources
  • An additional 2+ years in HR management
  • Exceptional communication skills both in written and verbal formats.
  • Strong change management and decision making skills and the ability to collaborate in a strategic environment.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, innovate and display a high level of integrity and courage.
  • Knowledge of state and federal employment regulations and laws, including (for some locations) working in a unionized environment.
  • Past customer service experience and excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong track record of leading HR functions.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

  • Successfully implement and support programs and initiatives, including all annual processes (benefits, compensation, performance management, education, etc.) as well as new training and compliance programs, employee engagement and development initiatives, and other projects/programs as communicated from VP/Director of Human Resources or corporate departments in order to support both employees and leaders.
  • Direct and influence Division/Supply Chain leaders and business partners with his/her team to support, grow and drive new initiatives.
  • Act as a resource to leadership in the coaching, counseling and support of all matters related to employee performance, including career development, discipline, and conflict resolution.
  • Manage and oversee all compliance related matters in assigned area including those related to the enforcement of state, federal or provincial laws and regulations, wage and hour compliance, Company policies and company codes of conduct as it related to people management. Represent the Company in such matters as needed.
  • Supports all employment related functions including recruitment, staffing and on boarding, training and development, employee engagement, employee incentive programs, mentoring and succession.
