District Director
About The Position
This leadership position oversees the day-to-day Child Welfare operations within an assigned district within Region 3. The District Director represents the agency as district spokesperson with appropriate community leaders, county, and state officials. This role collaborates with Deputy Directors to ensure that all levels of staff have adequate resources necessary to successfully perform their assigned work and oversees the district budget. The position also supervises employees and reviews all personnel actions including recruitment, employment, promotional practices, performance management, employee discipline, grievance and dispute resolutions, payroll and time/leave management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in social work, a behavioral science, counseling or business or public administration.
- Seven years of professional experience in social work or social services administration.
- Four additional years of experience in a supervisory, managerial or administrative capacity.
- Valid driver's license.
- Must maintain required car insurance.
Nice To Haves
- Equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one additional year of qualifying experience for each year of the required education plus three additional years of experience in a supervisory, managerial or administrative capacity.
