This is a senior leadership role for an experienced public-service professional who is driven by purpose and impact. In Nunavut, housing is more than infrastructure, it is fundamental to health, dignity, and community wellbeing. As District Director, Baffin, you will play a critical role in enabling Nunavut Housing Corporation’s partners to deliver safe, sustainable housing across 13 Qikiqtaaluq communities. Success in this role requires a leader who demonstrates relational accountability by building trust, honouring commitments, and stewarding public resources responsibly, while also exercising adaptive systems leadership, navigating complex, interconnected housing, financial, and community systems and adjusting plans to Northern realities. The Government of Nunavut was selected as one of Canada’s Best Diversity Employers, Top Employers for Young People and recent graduates. With one of the fastest growing and youngest populations in Canada, Nunavut is a dynamic, vibrant territory, committed to becoming an even better place for future generations. As a government, we are strengthening our unique model of governance - one that integrates Inuit societal values, promotes use of the Inuktut language, achieves a representative public service, and collaborates with partners to achieve the promise of Nunavut.
