About The Position

The California College Guidance Initiative (CCGI) is seeking a District Data Support Analyst to join the Data Services team. This role focuses on supporting Local Education Agencies (LEAs) in implementing transcript-informed functionality on CaliforniaColleges.edu. The analyst will be responsible for managing the receipt, processing, troubleshooting, and data validity reviews of district transcript files. This includes the recurring management of transcript files, addressing discrepancies reported by educators, and assisting LEA staff in resolving file-related issues. The position also involves close collaboration with Technical Assistance staff to resolve cases related to transcript files and working with LEA experts to ensure timely and accurate transcript data. For new LEAs, this involves supporting the creation of transcript files or advising on related issues. While this role does not involve writing production code, a comfort level with tools like SQL, Jira, Excel, and Salesforce is preferred. The ideal candidate will have experience in K-12/higher education data systems or student records management, an understanding of student transcript data nuances, and an interest in large educational systems and the equity challenges students face. The role requires comfort with ambiguity and a passion for promoting public education and advancing educational equity.
