About The Position
Provide clinical leadership, coordination, and oversight of district health services. Support student and staff health needs through direct care, consultation, and the development and monitoring of health protocols and systems that promote a safe and healthy learning environment.
Requirements
- Master’s degree required
- Current Kentucky licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) required
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant clinical experience
- Knowledge of clinical nursing practices, school health services, and student health needs
- Ability to assess, plan, and implement appropriate clinical interventions
- Ability to manage sensitive health information with professionalism and confidentiality
- Effective communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to use technology, including electronic health records and reporting systems
- Adhere to the Professional Code of Ethics and follow all board and school policies
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical oversight and support for district health services and school-based nursing staff
- Deliver direct clinical care to students and staff as appropriate, within scope of practice
- Develop, implement, and monitor health plans, protocols, and procedures in alignment with district goals and legal requirements
- Collaborate to support student & staff health, attendance, and access
- Serve as a liaison between schools, families, healthcare providers, and community agencies
- Support management of chronic health conditions, communicable disease response, and health-related emergencies
- Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and district policies
- Maintain accurate health records, reports, and required documentation
- Provide guidance and training to staff related to student health needs and safety protocols
- Demonstrate punctuality, professionalism, appropriate appearance, and consistent, reliable attendance
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or designee
