About The Position

The Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) is seeking a District APRN 1 or 2 to perform advanced nursing functions and healthcare services in specialized areas. This position is primarily assigned to Family Planning and Women's Health Programs but may see patients in other programs/services. The role operates under a nurse protocol agreement with a delegating physician, conducting complete physicals, providing treatment, and counseling clients. The APRN may also prescribe medication in some cases. This is an unclassified, full-time position working 40 hours per week, based at the Paulding County Health Department in Dallas, Georgia, with travel required to Haralson and Polk County Health Departments as needed. Requirements

Master's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and/or other education requirements approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing
Certification in the specialty area(s) approved by Georgia Board of Nursing
Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse
Georgia license as an APRN
CPR certification
Must be within a reasonable commuting distance.
